"It's like, if you commit adultery with a woman, this is the sex of an adulterer, and a person who conforms to this characterization is an adulterer; Stealing someone else's property is the nature of a thief, and a thief who meets this characterization is a thief. Can you say that these are human nature? ”
"Like, a yellow dog. Isn't it ridiculous that you Confucians say that only a yellow dog is a dog? Isn't a white dog a dog? ”
"White dogs and yellow dogs are all dogs, but are yellow and white common to dogs?"
"Dog sex, it should be all dogs, it is called dog nature. The whiteness of a white dog is the white-dog nature of a white dog; The yellow of the yellow dog is the yellow dog sex of the yellow dog. However, neither yellow nor white is doggy. ”

"However, there is also a division between nature and human desire. It's nature to be full and not starve. If you want to eat well, that is human desire. Therefore, human nature is to eat to live, and it is not human nature to want to eat well, so I say that eating is human nature and not human nature. ”
"Your Mohists say that people's satisfaction of their own needs and desires is human nature, and then this is causing trouble in the world. People must distinguish between their own nature and their own selfish desires, so that they can make the world rule. ”
The confession said: "Eating is selfish desire. Because people want to live, they eat. If you want to live, that is desire. Eating is not for eating, and eating is not human nature, but the outward manifestation of human nature. The purpose of eating is to live, and the various actions that people do for their desire to live are human nature. ”
"There is no good or evil in human nature. Only by doing things can there be good and evil, and good and evil are determined by man. ”
"Therefore, there are people first, and there is humanity at the moment when there are people, and then there is the system of the world, and then there is good and evil. Before the Zhou metric ceremony, was there no one? In ancient times, was there no one? At that time, there was no etiquette, so there was no good or evil as it is now. Now how can you say that etiquette is human nature? Was it the one who came first? Or is it pre-existing good and evil? ”
Confucian said: "There is good and evil first, and then there are people." In other words, good and evil are destined by heaven, and the moment people appear, there is also good and evil. Therefore, the etiquette is greater than the human nature you are talking about, and at least it must be equal to. ”
"In ancient times, people gathered and lived, drank blood, and worked together, this is because goodness precedes others. And now people have forgotten the good, and there is a lack of education, so everyone seeks profit. ”
"If everyone seeks profit, then how can there be the rumored good governance of the same work?"
"Because in ancient times, people didn't plant, wild beasts were everywhere, and people couldn't live without the tribe. It is precisely because of human nature and the desire to live and reproduce that it has become an ancient era of working together. Because those who wanted to go out and live on their own were eaten by wild beasts, sick and had no one to take care of them, and those people died, so the people became humane to what is now considered to be the ancient government of the great good. ”

The confession continued: "If the etiquette is not easy for eternity, then the etiquette of men and women not kissing and dressing appropriately, as the biggest rule in ancient times, can people in ancient times survive?" Therefore, etiquette is not easy for eternity, but only conforms to a certain era. ”
"The laws and policies of the world can be known by relying on the self-transformation of all things, and they can also be known through the study of the heavenly will. If there is a person who knows such a heavenly will now, and returns to ancient times, he can also achieve the effect of the self-transformation of all things, and the self-transformation of all things is the same as the result of rational knowledge and promotion of evolution after knowing the heavenly will. ”

If animals don't have it, then isn't it human nature to be righteous and righteous? Human nature is inherently good! ”
Gaozi also asked loudly: "I've been talking for so long, why don't you understand?" Even if you talk about benevolence and righteousness, it is like eating for a dog and swimming for a fish. Generally speaking, eating is dog nature, but eating alone is not all that dogs have. It's the same with fish, swimming is one of the sex of fish, but just saying swimming doesn't have to be a fish. ”
"Even if the righteousness you speak of exists, yes. So, if benevolence and righteousness are human nature, is it not a person who does not have benevolence and righteousness? Just as the distance from a fixed point to any one place is not all equal, then the figure is certainly not a circle. ”
Confucian said: "Everyone has a heart of benevolence and righteousness, but it is hidden in the bottom of the heart, you can't see it, and sometimes you don't show it." Compassion is something that everyone has; Shame is common to all; Respect, everyone has; Everyone has the heart of right and wrong. Compassion belongs to benevolence; Shame belongs to righteousness; Respect is courtesy; Right and wrong belong to the mind. This benevolence, righteousness, propriety, and wisdom are not imposed on me by external factors, but are inherent in me, but I don't usually think about it and therefore don't feel it. ”
"It's that people have a heart of righteousness, but sometimes the heart of righteousness may not show itself, so you can't say that he doesn't have it. Then, as long as there is a benevolent heart, it is a human being. Although you don't see this kind of righteousness, and sometimes you don't show it, you can certainly have it. ”
"It's like the air that your Mo family said, you can't see it, you can't touch it, but it exists."
