If you can't prove that this kind of world where everyone abides by etiquette cannot exist, then prove that ours is not wrong - for example, now I say that one plus one equals three, and three plus one equals five, so I say that one plus one plus one equals five, is it wrong?

Now that you Mohists say that people's needs are human nature, then the world you deduce should be what you say, and the laws should be the kind of laws you say, but your doctrine is based on the fact that one plus one equals two.

Your doctrine is also correct, but it does not mean that our doctrine is wrong, because if one plus one equals three, then the sum of three ones really equals five, can you prove that there is no possibility of such "everyone observes courtesy"?

"According to what you said, in order to be able to practice self-denial, do you have to go back to the time when you have a yield of 20 catties per mu? Otherwise, wouldn't the surplus grain cloth produced be just stacked and let it rot slowly? ”

"Is that what you want? For the sake of self-denial and revenge, would you rather let the world's grain output return to 20 catties per mu? What if it were not for the rotting of so much grain and the moldy cloth for not being used? ”

"Therefore iron tools, farm tools, horses, oxen ploughing, new looms, all of which hinder your self-denial, should be burned, right?"

The Confucian scholar had no choice but to say: "As long as the superior attaches importance to etiquette, the people will not dare to be in awe; As long as those in the higher positions value righteousness, the people will not dare to disobey; As long as the people in the higher positions value faith, the people will not dare to treat you with sincerity.
