Chapter 516: Developing Liaodong (2)

Although the Far East is also trying to establish its own well-established pedigree of good horses in the short term, every mature horse breed is bred after long-term efforts. Breeding horse breeds requires a long-term cross-breeding process, which not only requires scientific and systematic theories, but also undergoes long-term improvement to slowly form a good horse pedigree with excellent genes.

China's horse breeds are small, resistant to rough feeding, and have a large base, which is suitable for the current situation of the large population of Chinese, but selection and breeding has always been a weakness, unlike the European atmosphere of breeding breeds from nobles to commoners, China, including northern nomads, has cultivated horse breeds quite casually, lacking science and planning, and has never established a pedigree.

The genes of many good horses have been lost, especially because China is based on agriculture, and the demand for the type of horse is mainly pulled, so most of the horses used by the cavalry are pulled and ridden, and there are very few real riding types.

The best horse breeds in China today are the Three Hippos (from the Hulunbuir Grassland) and the Ili Horse (from Ili, Xinjiang), both of which are mixed with a large amount of Don Hippopotamus blood. Authentic horses for riding tend to be tall and muscular, with long necks and smooth spokes, and they are sensitive to the reins and feel very good. Compared to those half-pulled, half-multiplied, dumb-headed dual-purpose horses, it's a completely different matter.

The Arabian horse is the best horse in the world, which is also related to the original ancestors of the horse breed in Central and Western Asia, and of course, the climate. But the most important thing is that it has been planned for thousands of years to breed this kind of good horse that is like "levitating" in the run, with a noble temperament and amazing endurance.

In the 19th century, the Russian Tsar Alexander II created a large horse farm in the Don River valley, where a lot of horse breeding work was carried out, and after many years of hard work, a new breed of Don hippos was bred.

The Don hippopotamus is the mount of the fierce Cossack cavalry, which inherits the hard-working and hard-working Mongolian horse, the amazing endurance of the Akkhatak horse, the strong muscles and bones of the British pure-blooded, the agility and agility of the Kabakin horse, and the appearance is tall and handsome. Although it is considered slightly deficient in shape by Western European standards, it has to be admitted that its hard-working and long-distance running ability is very good, and it is difficult to match.

At the end of the 40s of the last century, a horse farm in Tieling County introduced 42 high-quality mares, which were later crossbred with foreign heavy stallions and improved more than 10 times. It becomes better than the original kind. After more than 10 years of cross-breeding, the breed has been further optimized. In 1958, these hybrid horse breeds were officially named Tieling Bang Ma by the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China, and they are also the only horse breeds in China that have been registered with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.

Tieling Bang Ma is suitable for the development of agricultural production and transportation due to its both strength and speed, light and flexible, beautiful appearance, strong adaptability, resistance to rough feeding, rich staying power and easy to raise and serve, suitable for the development of agricultural production and transportation, and is welcomed by farmers, and is one of the excellent varieties bred in China. It is estimated that the combined power of the three Tieling horses is equivalent to the horsepower of an old Jiefang brand car.

It can be seen from the breeding process of the above kinds of good horses. The Far East needs to breed its own pedigree of good horses, and it can be said that there is a long way to go. At present, we can only rely on a large number of Mongolian horses. Fortunately, the number of Mongolian horses is huge, and the various advantages of Mongolian horses are also more suitable for the basic needs of war horses in the Far East. But Mongolian horses are not good for agricultural production and transportation.

Although there are more than 100 Tieling horses in the horse farms in the Far East, the bloodlines are already very mixed, and it is said that there are only a few dozen pure Tieling horses left in the entire Northeast. Therefore, the Far East still has to breed its own pedigree of horses. After all, in this era, it is simply unrealistic for the Far East to popularize mechanization on a large scale in agricultural production and transportation.

So at present the main horses of road transport in the Far East. Still rely on Mongolian horses. Although the horses are not as good as they could be, they are a means of road transport. That is, the carriage, and the Far Eastern company is not under pressure.

Four-wheeled carriages suitable for road transportation, two-wheeled carriages suitable for driving in complex mountain environments, Vladivostok Machinery Factory has designed many models. It adopts an iron frame and a wooden body, and is equipped with advanced technologies such as leaf springs, iron axles, and ball bearings. There is also a hand brake system. Whether it is a freight or passenger carriage, compared with the carriage of this era, it is the storage zài of the Mercedes-Benz BMW.

Of course, whether it is the railway network or the road system at all levels, it wants to be operational. Then the road must be built. In the inland waterway system, it is also necessary to establish complete infrastructure such as wharves and water replenishment and coal refueling points.

In the construction of these infrastructures, Far Eastern Company will also invest a lot of resources and go all out to carry out large-scale construction. Without a perfect transportation and logistics system, what is there to talk about the development and construction of Liaodong.

The development and construction of Liaodong in the Far East is, first of all, large-scale infrastructure construction. And infrastructure construction, of course, is inseparable from various building materials. The demand for building materials such as wood and stone, cement components, and sand and red bricks can be said to be astronomical. There are so many building materials that you can't all bring them from Vladivostok.

To this end, the Far Eastern Company has established four building materials bases in Liaoyang and other places, and more than a dozen brick factories, cement factories and cement component factories are under intense construction. In addition, more than a dozen forest farms and dozens of quarries have been built. After all the projects are completed, they can basically meet the needs of various infrastructure construction in eastern Liaoning.

At present, Liaodong is in ruins, and the company's investment in Liaodong's basic industries is still relatively small. For quite a long time, the industrial center of gravity of the Far Eastern Company was in the Vladivostok region.

Most of the metal products, chemical products, light industrial products, machinery products, and glass products produced in the Vladivostok Industrial Zone, the steel, coke and coal chemical products produced in Bac Ninh Town, and the fuel oil and petrochemical products produced at the Sakhalin Petrochemical Base need to be transported by sea to the coastal areas of eastern Liaoning.

After several years of hard work, the Sakhalin Petrochemical Base finally bid farewell to the era of local oil refining, because a large number of qualified industrial workers have been trained, and various modern oil production and refining equipment have been built one after another. The annual output of various fuel oil products has basically met the long-distance needs of several modern ships of the company.

Several 10,000-ton giant ships, loaded with various materials every year, travel back and forth between Vladivostok and Liaodong to support the development and construction of various parts of Liaodong. However, the original construction of Lushun Port has no waterway transportation channels, and the materials transported to Lushun must be transferred to the mouth of the Liaohe River by guò boats, and then transferred to all parts of Liaodong by guò inland barges.

Therefore, the Far Eastern Company has built a new deep-water port at the mouth of the Liaohe River, which is Yingkou Port, which is under construction. After the completion of the port, it has a deep-water wharf that can berth three 10,000-ton giant ships at the same time. The wharf is also equipped with a variety of modern supporting facilities.

There is also a large storage area next to Yingkou Port, including a wide variety of warehouses for oil, general materials, industrial manufactured products, etc., which will connect the city at the mouth of the Liaohe River. Next to the storage area is the Liaohe River Water Transport Wharf, where the materials unloaded by the 10,000-ton giant ship can be directly loaded onto the inland river deck barge, and then sent to all parts of Liaodong.

The company's warehousing department has built a lot of wharves and storage areas on both sides of the Liaohe River, Hunhe River, Taizi River, Gray Pai River and Songhua River, as well as corresponding supporting facilities. The company has established a complete logistics management system in Liaodong, with a scientific, reasonable and fine management mechanism from a complete set of processes such as transportation, handling, distribution, unloading, inspection and storage.
