Chapter 57: The Secret
The three Storm Queens braved the storm and conquered all odds along the way, and their strength ensured that they could sail unhindered even in the perilous depths of the Twin Seas.
For half a month, they had seen the ghost ship wandering in the sea fog.
Deep-sea monsters leaping out of the abyss, and giant sea turtles floating on the surface of the sea with an island on their backs.
They have also overcome the Octopus Medallion who tried to attack their ship, the Ship Swallowing Whale that tried to swallow them along with the ship, and the terrifying tsunami that destroyed an island.
Finally, on the sixteenth night after leaving the Howorth Islands, they found the abode of the legendary goddess of the tribe, the bottomless abyss.
However, there was nothing here, except for the blue, blackened waters and a sky full of broken stars.
Determined to search, the three queens bombarded the surface of the sea with their skills, trying to get the goddess to meet them first in a brutal way.
But after a round of bombardment, the sea was still calm above and below – one could even say that the calm was a little too much.
The queen of the Sea Spear Clan was the first to notice the problem, and this sea area was too quiet compared to the stormy Twin Seas before.
The surface of the sea was as smooth as parchment without a trace of wrinkles, and there was no trace of fish swimming under the surface of the sea.
There wasn't even a hint of wind here.
Looking at the horizon in the distance, the boundary between the sea and the sky is very blurred, and even if you look closely, it is difficult to distinguish which is the sea and where the starry sky is.
Moreover, the calm, mirror-like waters reflected the stars in the sky, making the ships of the three queens seem to be sailing on the astral plane.
The Queen of Strings shot an arrow into the water, and the ripples and splashes created by the arrow into the water did not travel far before they calmed down.
The queen of the Sea Spear tribe tentatively threw a spear into the sky, only to find that the sky was like water, splashed with ripples and waves by the spear.
They were trapped, trapped in an indescribable, somehow, eerie region of chaotic space.
The three queens tried to escape the eerie area in their sailboats, but no matter how far their ships traveled, the scenery remained unchanged.
They are like a pack of poor hamsters in cages, running in vain on the rollers.
I don't know how long later, when the three queens were about to give up their struggle, a circular ripple suddenly rippled on the calm sea in front of them.
Not only do these ripples travel far away, but they are also getting bigger and bigger.
The three queens hurriedly clung to the ship's thick ropes and railings, ready for the oncoming onslaught.
By the time Ripple reached the side of the three queens' boats, a huge wall of water six or seven meters high had formed, and their boat was like a roller coaster, from the bottom of the waves to the crest of the waves, and from the crest of the waves to the bottom of the waves.
Fortunately, the ship was sturdy enough and did not fall apart directly. It's just that there was a lot of water on the deck, and the sails were torn off.
But that wasn't the end of it, and when the waves had passed, the three queens climbed out of their boats and were surprised to see a strange, indescribable, huge monster glowing green appeared directly in front of them, where the waves began.
The monster had no head, or its body was a huge head, but the "head" did not match the "head shape" of any creature in the general impression.
It's like... The result of a drunken craftsman scribbling with a carving knife, and the craftsman did not want to carve a head in the first place.
The surface of the monster's exposed body was covered with green glowing "blankets" with small swaying tentacles sticking out of them, waving at the three queens.
This set of features makes this thing look like a piece of rotten flesh floating on the surface of the sea, covered with mold, and it looks disgusting and chilling.
In particular, it was so big, it was three or four times bigger than the boat piloted by the three queens!
The three queens heard its miserable and terrifying rumble, and were moving towards them little by little.
The Chant Queen refused to believe it was their Storm Goddess, and was the first to attack it.
The other two queens soon followed, and in any case, the thing didn't look like it had good intentions.
Amazingly, the combined attack of the three legendary Amazons had no actual effect, and all of the powerful abilities were absorbed by the green glowing "blanket" on the surface of the thing's body.
After being attacked, the flesh-rotten monster immediately launched a counterattack, and the green glow on its body quickly grew to a considerable length, and then flung it towards the three queens' ships like whips.
The deck of the ship was hit by these green whips, and it was soon covered with the same green "blanket", and these glowing green objects quickly took over the entire ship, and the three queens had no choice but to untie the lifeboat on one side to escape.
The Queen of Chant rowed the boat, and the other two queens continued to attack the monster with all their might, opening their primordial forms and using their primordial power to strike the creature.
The trick finally worked, and the green object on the body seemed to be afraid of the primordial power.
They scattered one after another, hiding inside the monster like a tidal wave, and then, the attack of the three Amazons began to wreak havoc on the monster's body.
After taking some damage, the monster began to realize that it could not continue like this, so it began to dive downward, all the way to the deepest part of the bottomless abyss.
After the monster completely disappeared, the lifeboats of the three queens suddenly spun wildly as if they had been thrown into a maelstrom.
It wasn't until a few dozen minutes later that they recovered from their vertigo, and then they were surprised to find themselves on the sailboat that should have been lost.
And there's something even weirder than that.
A large part of their logbook was gone, leaving only records of the first two days of their departure from the Howorth Islands.
The Sea Spear Queen could also tell from the breeding of certain fish in the sea that they were indeed back the day after they had just left the shores of the island......
Even if the three queens are all legendary powerhouses, encountering such a strange thing is enough to make them dare not go deep into the sea for a second time.
The Queen of String Song had tried to explain this incomprehensible series of things with hallucinations, but the wounds left by the battle against the sea beasts and the harsh weather on the three of them, as well as the fatigue of the three of them, had not been erased.
This is obviously not something that hallucination can explain.
The three queens soon came to an agreement that their three clans would seek to govern together and formally retain the Goddess of Storm's faith.
But what happened to the three of them must be sealed forever as the top secret common to the three Amazonian clans.
