Chapter 56: The Stone of the Tides
The so-called "Tide Stone" refers to a man-high boulder that stands on the edge of a sea cliff at the southernmost tip of Howorth Island.
This monolith is no ordinary stone, it is a natural relic of the same level as the "Mountain Key" born in the barrier mountains of the Canduras region.
This large relic predates the birth of the Amazons, and its surface is covered with coral reefs of various colors and underwater treasures that always pop up on it without even noticing.
But it stands at the top of the sea cliff, a full fifty or sixty meters above the surface of the sea below.
The Tidestone couldn't move, and no one could move it away from the cliff by any means.
The people of the Amazons once worshipped this sacred artifact because of its magical ability to send items into the abyss in the depths of the Twin Seas and bring back rewards from there.
In the beginning, the Amazons used it to send the Storm Goddess's dwelling in the depths of the Twin Seas as a tribute from the circumcision, and each time they did so, they were rewarded with a timely and rich return.
But later, when Hell invades the First World, the sea giants, who have always been worshipped as divine servants by the Amazons, suddenly crawl out of the abyss like crazy, and almost drive the Amazon tribes of the Howorth Islands to a dead end.
After that, although reinforcements from the human legions of other kingdoms eventually freed the Amazons from the siege and drove the giants back into the sea, circumcision was eventually abandoned due to the damage caused to the Amazons and the rise of the professions.
Since then, the Tide Stone has been forgotten on the sea cliffs, and few people in the surrounding area have visited it again.
However, the Tide Stone is a holy artifact after all, and there is one more thing surrounding the Tide Stone itself.
That was the rebellion of the men in the clan in ancient times.
After the rebellion was suppressed, the last of the three High Priests to survive fled to the edge of the sea cliff where the Tidestone was located, where he was hunted down by the Queen of the Chant Clan.
The queen hated the three high priests for taking advantage of the fire and rebelling against the army when the army was heavily defeated by the foreign tribes, so she staged a terrible human tragedy on the edge of this sea cliff.
The last high priest had intended to surrender because he still had a pair of sons and daughters in the tribe.
And the queen who hunted down the Chant tribe at that time was his partner, the mother of his children.
But the queen didn't want to suffer this humiliation at all, she didn't want the high priest to have a chance to surrender.
So, just as the high priest was about to raise his hands and tie them down, the queen suddenly pushed their son to the front and ordered their daughter to kill him.
Killed her brother.
The High Priest screamed in disbelief because their daughter did not hesitate to do so!
The tip of the spear pierced the heart of a boy under the age of ten, but the executioner was the boy's sister, who was also fifteen years old.
There's nothing like that breaks a father's heart.
The high priest almost went mad.
His eyes were bloodshot, his face was hideous, and his mouth let out a terrifying but meaningless roar.
The queen was expressionless from beginning to end, as if she had an iron mask painted flesh on her face.
Beside her, her fifteen-year-old daughter, with a spear stained with the blood of her own brother, was as apathetic as her mother.
The High Priest was desperate, and he staggered back to the Tide Stone, cursing like a madman.
Howorth Island, the ugly archipelago!
The woman of the island! Evil scum!
I curse you! Curse you!
The archipelago will sink under the waves, and the Amazons will fall forever into the abyss!!
With a vicious curse, the High Priest gouged out his eyes as a sacrifice, and he clenched his eyeballs tightly and touched the Tide Stone next to him.
In a flash of blue light, the Tidestone teleported him into the endless waves of the depths of the Twin Seas.
Since then, thousands of years have passed, and fewer and fewer people know about it, and the curse of the high priest has never been fulfilled.
Gradually, people abandoned this small incident in the long river of history, and only a few people still remember the cause and effect of this incident.
Fina had seen this in the Clan's ancient texts, and the reason she had searched for the Ancient Classics was because of the "trivial" matter that had been regarded as a top secret in the Amazons, but had no evidence of its own.
This so-called "trivial" happened after the Sea Giant Rebellion, when the three Amazon clans were almost caught in civil strife due to various problems, and then each of the three clans had a legendary powerhouse come forward to temporarily suppress the disputes between the various clans, and then the three of them agreed to go to the depths of the Twin Seas together, and when they returned, the problems between the three clans were easily solved under a paper agreement.
But most Amazons don't know why it's happening.
What did the three legendary powerhouses of that time, the first three storm queens after the tribe resettled, see in the depths of the Twin Seas?
When they returned, the three Storm Queens were covered in the scars and tiredness of the battle.
Those who don't know the inside believe that they are just fighting in the depths of the Twin Seas, as a way to redefine the status of their respective clans in the whole clan.
The three storm queens have never acknowledged this question, but they have never denied it either.
So, over time, this became the "true version" that circulated within the tribe.
However, Fina found a different reason for the three Storm Queens to enter the depths of the Twin Seas together in the tribal collection of ancient texts.
- They actually went to find the Lady of the Storm.
The scroll of the ancient book reads: The three queens are not sure whether the existence of the goddess is real, whether it is good or evil, and what kind of attitude she has towards the Amazon tribe.
So they decided to go to sea to find the legendary goddess and ask her what was going on.
They agreed with each other that if the Storm Goddess was found and determined to be well-intentioned, the Chanting Clan would become the leader of the Amazon tribes, and the tribe would resume the circumcision of the Storm Goddess once and for all.
However, if the Storm Goddess does not exist, all rituals and rituals dedicated to the Goddess must be canceled, and the Chanting Tribe will abandon the name and the city of Yuxen, and they will work first to eradicate the Storm Goddess faith from the Amazons once and for all.
Finally, if the Storm Goddess does exist but has evil intentions towards the Amazons, then the three of them will do everything in their power to destroy the Goddess, even if they die in battle.
If any of them are lucky enough to make it back to the tribe alive, then ask the surviving queen to lead the entire Amazon tribe east to the rainforest in the southernmost part of the Eastern Continent, never to get closer to the Howorth Islands.
With these three choices in hand, the three storm queens set off......
