Chapter 44: Fantasy Novels, Fantasy Novels
It is generally believed that the term "fantasy novel" was coined by Hong Kong writer Wong Yi, which originally meant "fantasy novels based on fantasy", and later gave rise to a genre called "YY" (meaning obscenity).
In the second half of the 1990s, with the rise of online literature, there was an increasing number of novels published on the Internet, many of which were based on Japanese role-playing games, adventure stories with sword and sorcery style, which were once classified as RPG novels, but with the expansion and diversification of story genres, some people began to use the term fantasy novels to classify these novels, and they quickly became popular among the online community.
In the first half of the 2000s, due to the loose and vague definition of genres, in principle, all fantasy novels that cannot be clearly classified into traditional categories such as science fiction, martial arts, and horror can be classified as fantasy novels, so its definition is also clearly beyond Huang Yi's initial assumption of this term, in fact, some fantasy novels written by Huang Yi are only martial arts novels with a few non-traditional plots (such as "The Legend of Qin").
In 1998, the rise of online novels laid the basic model of the current online fantasy novels, at that time, Mo Ren's Star Wars heroes and Rosen's style story were the two leaders, and then the era of online novels came, and many self-proclaimed writers (or writers) Internet novel writers took Huang Yi, Mo Ren, and Lawson as models to develop a variety of new styles of online fantasy novels.
Needless to say, Huang Yi's favorite at the time was "The Journey of Piao Miao", and there was once a little kid who told the author that the legend of the mortal cultivator who forgot to say was the originator of the cultivation of the true immortal, what a little kid! It was all written in 2008 by mortals. History is not clear.
However, the little fart child has the ignorance of the little fart child and the world world, and we masters are also little children in the world of demons!
Huang Yi (formerly known as Huang Zuqiang, 1952) is a well-known fantasy martial arts novelist. Graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Hong Kong Chinese, specializing in traditional Chinese painting, and was awarded the Weng Lingyu Art Award.
He was the Assistant Director of the Hong Kong Museum of Art, where he promoted cultural exchange between the East and the West and promoted local art in Hong Kong. When Huang Yi first debuted, he had not yet figured out the direction of writing, and originally planned to take the route of martial arts novels. But Zhao Shanqi, the editor-in-chief of Boyi Publishing Group at the time, did not approve of this path. Said to him, "Can you beat Jin Yong when you write martial arts novels, can you beat Gu Long?"
At that time, Ni Kuang's science fiction novels were very popular, and Zhao suggested that Huang Yi combine science fiction and martial arts to create a series of fantasy martial arts novels. The results were well received by readers. Created a school of fantasy martial arts novels.
In 1989, he resigned and lived in seclusion on Lantau Island, Hong Kong to concentrate on his creation. The usual entertainment is to play game consoles. His works such as "The Legend of Qin" and "The Legend of Double Dragons of the Tang Dynasty" have been widely circulated.
Huang Yi aspired to become a painter when he was young, and graduated from the Department of Fine Arts of the University of Hong Kong Chinese, specializing in traditional Chinese painting. He was a recipient of the Weng Lingyu Art Award and was also the assistant curator of the Hong Kong Museum of Art.
Huang Yi has loved to read martial arts novels since he was a child, and at that time, when the magazine "Martial Arts World" published martial arts novels, Huang Yi wrote his first martial arts novel "Broken Void" (one of the most influential books of this author) and submitted it, which was successfully published.
The first volume of "Jing Chu Fighting for Heroes" and "Turning the Clouds with Rain" were also published in the magazine, which opened Huang Yi's writing career. In order to make his novel published smoothly, Huang Yi asked people to ask various publishing houses to publish but ran into walls everywhere, and later Zhao Shanqi, editor-in-chief of Boyi Publishing House, suggested that Huang Yi create science fiction novels, and Huang Yi's first science fiction novel "Moon Demon" also came out.
After partnering with Boyi, Huang Yi published a series of science fiction novels featuring Ling Duyu. He resigned in 1989 and moved to Lantau Island to concentrate on his work.
He has a wide range of interests, especially game consoles. After founding Huang Yi Publishing House in 1991, he divided his novels into "Fantasy Series" and "Strange Heroes Series", and continues to create them to this day.
Huang Yi once said that his style was mainly influenced by Jin Yong and Sima Ling, among which Sima Ling had the greatest influence, and the spirit and momentum that Huang Yi attached importance to were influenced by Sima Ling, and the difference between the two was that Huang Yi focused more on fantasy.
The main feature of Huang Yi's novel is the combination of martial arts and fantasy, and the highest realm pursued by the characters in the book is to "peek into the way of heaven through martial arts" and break the secret of life and death. His works are also known for their extensive integration of architecture, gardening, geography, Yili, art, military, history and other knowledge, reflecting Huang Yi's versatility.
Other aspects of Huang Yi's novel that are more criticized are the descriptions of eroticism in the book, and Huang Yi's taste of self-talk and eroticism is an experiment and attempt in his writing career, and this feature is no longer seen in "The Legend of Double Dragons of the Tang Dynasty". Huang Yi's later revised version also removed a number of erotic depictions.
(The author strongly disagrees with this, but "there are too many ignorant people in the secular world and the general public.")
Huang Yi's strange novels are widely circulated with "Raining Clouds and Clouds" and "The Legend of Double Dragons of the Tang Dynasty", and among the fantasy novels, "Xun Qin Ji" is one of the best.
Secular, or secular, refers to a state of detachment from religion. For example, eating and bathing can be seen as examples of secular activities because they are not associated with most religious beliefs. However, in some religious traditions, both eating and bathing are considered sacraments, and thus both are considered religious activities in the worldly view of these beliefs.
There are two interpretations of "worldly": one refers to popular folk habits, and the other refers to ordinary, ordinary people. The tide semantics are the same, there is "the world is like this".
Qu Yuan left the world to be independent, and this kind of behavior of not going along with the world is angry. People at the time said he was crazy. But Qu Yuan is still Qu Yuan after all, others scolded him for being a madman, but he said in a heartfelt way that the whole world was drunk and I woke up alone. It's admirable to be able to do that, because it's a hundred and eight thousand miles away from the world.
Tao Yuanming was unwilling to bend his waist for five buckets of rice and resigned angrily and hidden. Think about how many scholars in feudal society studied hard for ten years in order to get an official and a half-job, although the imperial examination system had not yet been invented at that time, and becoming an official was based on recommendation.
But it will be recommended, which also means that this person should have a certain amount of ink in his stomach. Only Tao Qian was so generous, with a clean breeze on his sleeves, he disappeared in the officialdom in a fit of anger. This kind of high wind and bright festival is really amazing!
Secular: 1, refers to the customs and habits of the society at that time, and the customs that are inflexible and rigid in the world. Example: Worldly view.
2. The earthly world, the world.
3. Refers to the laity, ordinary people.
4. Vulgarity; Secularization is a theoretical concept put forward by Western sociology of religion, which is mainly used to describe a change that has taken place in modern society, that is, religion has gradually retreated from its ubiquitous status and far-reaching influence in real life to a relatively independent religious field, and the political, economic, and cultural aspects have gradually removed religious colors.
The secular in Buddhism refers to all worldly norms and things other than the supreme truth of the Dharma. Singly worldly or profane. Relative to 'Shengyi'.
That is, the vain and false law that has been set up by ordinary people in the world. "Treatise on the Exaltation of the Holy Religion" Volume 16 Clouds..' "Proclaim that my Dharma is used, and all are called secular." ’
The Kusha Treatise, Volume 22, clouds..' 'The Theory of Enlightenment, vol. 1.' The realm is pretended by Knowledge, so only the world exists.' It is said that the self, the Dharma, and so on are not real, but are assumed according to the conditions of the world, so they are called worldly.
A little kid generally refers to a child with a bare buttocks, running around, naïve, ignorant and disobedient.
Used to describe a child of this age. In colloquial language, it often means contempt, referring to the childishness, immaturity and ignorance of the object. By the way, it's also used to scold some people who are more white wood, ignorant and the like, and it has the same meaning as white wood students. (To be continued......)
