Chapter 1116: Impermanence
You will find that the bodhisattva first talks about enriching sentient beings, and then talks about edification and bodhichitta development. As an Daolong, first solve the problem of food, clothing, food and clothing, and then talk about entering the Tao.
If a Mahayana Buddha disciple does not have bodhichitta or even has no motivation, how is it different from Hinayana and how can he be connected to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas?
Fourth, the Great Auspicious Celestial Maiden causes all sentient beings to stop evil and develop bodhicitta and be born in the Heavenly Path. Many scriptures, such as the Medicine Teacher Sutra, the Jizo Sutra, the Guanyin Sutra, etc., often refer to the afterlife of being born in the human heavens, humanity and the way of heaven. Unless it is a vow to be born in a pure land.
And the special virtue of the great auspicious goddess makes you born in the way of heaven.
Reincarnation as a human being is very hard, and if you look at the world, you will find that the world is full of all kinds of disasters, impermanence, and diseases.
Especially in the hospital, how many sick people lie down, how many people suffer from love and separation, when you see these truths, your mind will be renunciated, and the world of samsara is leaky and imperfect.
People who die suddenly in car accidents on the news, they are not prepared in the slightest.
Maybe the next hour, I have to attend a meeting, I have to pick up my children, I have to go to see my parents, but I am unprepared, I am unprepared, I suddenly have a car accident, and I die in an instant.
After death, the bardo body is extremely unwilling, a good person, who was fine just now, suddenly enters a world of black and white gloom, no color, and no sunlight.
Even if they find their loved ones talking, they can't hear them.
So a person is suddenly lonely, lonely, and at a loss for what to do in the face of the wasteland-like bardo world. In the face of living relatives, there is nothing to be done.
This is impermanence, one of the truths of Kan Patience. But if you are fortunate enough to encounter the Dharma, you cannot avoid impermanence, but it is extremely necessary to maintain a long life. There is a tradition in Tibet of cultivating longevity and wisdom.
Because you first ensure that you live a long time, you can better fulfill your worldly responsibilities and practice the Tao, otherwise your life will be gone, and the next one will turn around, and you don't know where.
In the Tibetan method of longevity, the famous ones are the Buddha of Longevity, the Mother of the Buddha, and the White Tara, all of which have the special virtue of prolonging life.
Without empty mantras, great compassion mantras, medicine master methods, etc., they also have the virtue of longevity, meditate and cultivate, and get what you want.
"The Buddha said that the great auspicious goddess of the twelve deeds of one hundred and eight innocent Mahayana sutras", this sutra is rich in connotation, concise and rich, recited for a long time, and is inexhaustible.
This sutra is preached in the Elysian World, and the Great Auspicious Celestial Maiden is also one of the Celestial Maidens of Bliss, so there are clouds in the east, and the Celestial Maidens of the Elysium Saints are very auspicious.
According to the Sutra of the Transformation of the Divine Beings of the Non-Empty Dharma, when the practice of the Great Auspicious Celestial Maiden of the Non-Empty Dharma System attains Siddhi, the Celestial Maiden and her dependents appear in the void, and the offerings of the practitioner are all turned into gold, and the attainment is granted, and they can appear and fly to the Elysian World before Amitabha Buddha to hear the Dharma, and live for 10,000 years.
Therefore, if you practice the Great Auspicious Celestial Maiden and initiate the mind of the Blissful World of Rebirth, you can pass away. But if you don't make a wish, you may be reborn in the Heavenly Dao and become a blessed celestial.
Of course, in this era, if you are a Buddhist who has passed away in heaven and has a long lifespan, the next turn will be the birth of Maitreya Buddha. Because you are a posthumous disciple of Shakyamuni Buddha, according to the scriptures, at that time you will meet the Longhua Sanhui and be Buddhaized.
It is not necessary to be reborn in the Heavenly Dao to mean that he has fallen, and he lives a life of pleasure every day, and the celestial beings also make vows and practice, and the Emperor Shakti also gives Dharma courses to his people every month.
It's just that there is one common merit in the Elysian World—never turning back until you become a Buddha.
The saints who participated in the Great Auspicious Celestial Maiden Puja -
The Bodhisattva of Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of Great Potential, the Bodhisattva of All Obstacles, the Bodhisattva of the Earth, the Bodhisattva of Universal Light, the Bodhisattva of the Void, the Bodhisattva of Vajrapani, the Bodhisattva of All Fears, the Bodhisattva of All Pure Auspiciousness, the Bodhisattva of All Blessings, the Bodhisattva of the Sun and the Moon, the Bodhisattva Manjushri, and so on.
The three masters we are familiar with, Avalokiteshvara with great compassion, Manjushri with great wisdom, and Vajrapani with great wisdom, all appear in this meeting. The Bodhisattvas of the Earth, the Great Trend of the Bodhisattvas, the Bodhisattvas of the Barriers, and the Bodhisattvas of the Void also participate in the rejoicing.
When you recite this sutra every day, you will first recite the name of the first bodhisattva on this sutra, and you will receive the blessings of the bodhisattvas such as Guanyin Bodhisattva and Jizo Bodhisattva.
The scriptures are subtle and difficult to consider, and those who are able to do so should recite them diligently.
The world-honored goddess sees the auspicious goddess, there are countless hundreds of thousands of blessings and solemnity, all of them are surrounded by the Buddha, and all the Buddhas and Buddhas praise and praise the world.
The Great Auspicious Celestial Maiden is not an ordinary celestial maiden, she has thousands of people who are always around, and all the Brahmans and Emperor Shakti praise and offer to her.
Brahman, Shakti, etc., are the rulers of the Three Realms, and they are the dependents of the Great Auspicious Celestial Maiden. And the immeasurable Rulai surrounds her, which shows that her true identity is incredible, and it is the manifestation of the great sun.
In the Golden Light Sutra, it is mentioned that the great auspicious celestial maiden should be offered to the Nyorai that she once offered. The righteousness of offering to the Lord of Heaven is very subtle.
The immeasurable merit and power of the Great Auspicious Celestial Maiden comes from the immeasurable collective blessings she has made offerings to in the past, or she is the collective incarnation of such a thing. In this way, we can trace back to the source, but we can get the original and not worry about the end. Therefore, the Golden Light Sutra mentions a verse of offering to the Heavenly Maiden.
When you recite the names of the Buddhas, you can't just think about it, you have to contemplate yourself, and make the seven offerings before each Buddha. Or an immeasurable offering for the general public.
You can visualize for a moment that things like coming all over the void, surround the head of the Great Auspicious Celestial, and above you, a thousand blessings are solemn, with low eyebrows and golden light. Then make seven offerings:
1. Prostration, 2, Offering, 3, Repentance, 4, Rejoicing, 5, Please, 6, Pray not to enter Nirvana, 7. Dedication.
There is a secret in the visualization offerings here, that is, if you make offerings to the great auspicious goddess, you are actually a great auspicious goddess, and you can visualize yourself as her in an instant, and then your heart will shine, and all the offerings will come out of the light, and you will make seven offerings.
If you are not accustomed to this kind of self-contemplation, you can visualize the immeasurable incarnation of the Celestial Maiden and make offerings before she comes.
This step is very subtle, and if you do it well, you have already increased great merit and merit.
Secondly, after making offerings, visualize the blessings of the Buddhas, reflecting back from the Buddha's heart, in the form of golden light, in the form of immeasurable auspicious celestials, and enter your heart.
It is a secret know-how, which is often contemplated, and the rapid gain of merit is gathered, and it is known to oneself.
When you recite the one hundred and eight, if you recite it with bodhichitta and you recite it, then it will quickly correspond to the celestial maiden.
The first step in Atisha's sevenfold stages of bodhichitta is to first recite one's mother's kindness, and then gradually expand to friends, strangers, enemies, and all sentient beings.
And bodhichitta is the key to achieving siddhi. At the beginning, many of His Holiness's disciples had been cultivating the Buddha-figure for a long time, but His Holiness taught the practice of bodhichitta and saw many Buddha-figures attained. Because the Buddha-figure mind is all sentient beings of Tetra Pak.
