"The Eight Winds Don't Blow" can be seen in the fifth volume of the "Buddha Land Sutra", and the poet and monk Hanshan poems also have this sentence, the eight winds are Buddhist terms, referring to the winds of the eight realms: praise, ridicule, destruction, reputation, profit, decline, suffering, and happiness.
In the second year of Song Renzong's Jiayou, Su Xuan won the favor of the examiner Mei Yaochen with a paper on "The Theory of Punishment and Loyalty", and recommended it to the chief examiner Ouyang Xiu.
